Description
These are some more blossoms from my mothers orchid. My mom has alzheimer's and as a result can no longer care for her orchids. Having never really cared for orchids I thought I might kill the plant. I watered once a week and turned the plant every day. I even got fertilizer. I then watched and waited. I had no idea what to expect having never grown one before. You see my mom has the green thumb, me not so much.

My patience payed off as I started to see the bud spikes appear. A total of six with several buds on each one. Now this is a fragrant orchid and what a fragrance it has. She has seen a picture of her flowering orchid. She will not remember it but I saw her smile when she saw the picture.
********************
Ants love the orchids blossoms.Reminds me of Peonies and how the ants have to be a part the the flowering process. Appreciate the time you have with your loved ones and make time for them also. Life can be very short.
