Description
This was taken at Ponce Inlet, Florida on the jetty. On the way home I saw this beautiful cloud in the sky, took a picture of it. I decided that the pelican and cloud should go together so together they are. They are such graceful birds in flight. I just love to watch them. What would it be like to be able to simply fly.

Pelicans usually fly in pairs or a group. I believe this is called a Pink-back Pelican. They are a very light birds for their size.. Males are larger then the females and also have longer bills. When they are in flight they are very quite. They are one of my favorite birds to watch especially when they are fishing and diving.
