Description
The birds seem to be nesting later this year. Went to the Alligator Farm in St. Augustine, Florida to the bird rookery. Here are three baby Giant Egrets calling for food. If you ever get a chance to go you will enjoy.

Neat shot, Deborah! At our rookery in Socastee, SC, I was told the first batch of eggs/young was taken by owls and the egrets had to start over with their process! I went Saturday and got some pix of some very young chicks while other moms were still sitting on new batches of eggs. They do seem to be late, though. Blessings, Suzanne

Wonderful capture Deborah! We visited the rookery on High Island over the weekend and also found the birds were nesting late this year. l/f
